Early adopters take a risk on a young instrument, and the lifetime price lock is what we pay for it. The rate never rises for founding accounts, whatever the list price becomes. Not a discount — a founding cohort, and it closes at one hundred.
Fair questions
Why aren't runs metered?
Because a good analysis is thirty runs, not one — baselines, re-checks, parameter sweeps, tail inspections. Charging per run would make every re-check feel like spending money, and a finding that wasn't re-checked isn't one we want our mark on. Batch sizes are generous (up to 10,000 simulations per batch on Professional, 100,000 on Practice) with fair-use limits in the terms.
What exactly is a marked deliverable?
A finding you publish with the observatory's mark and a permanent replay link — the artifact you hand to a client. The mark certifies the computation is reproducible from the visible assumptions on the calibrated engine; the methodology page spells out precisely what it does and doesn't certify. Private runs, exploration, and internal work never consume marks.
Can my client view a finding without paying?
Always. Replay links open for anyone, forever, with no account. Viewing and forking a shared finding is free by design — the person you're trying to convince should meet zero friction.
What happens to my marks if I cancel?
Published replay links stay live permanently. The record doesn't disappear because a subscription did — a ledger you can delete isn't a ledger.
Will prices change?
Probably, as the instrument matures — but founding-member rates are locked for life, and published findings are never held hostage to a price change.
